In this engaging and personal talk\, Kate Fineske\, Executive Director of the National Museum of the Great Lakes\, shares the story of how a small historical society grew into a national museum on the banks of the Maumee River and how it is now helping shape the future of our region.\n\n\n\nThrough local stories\, real impact\, and a vision for what's next\, Kate explores how the museum is bringing visitors\, attention\, and opportunity to Northwest Ohio while helping young people and community members better understand the careers\, industries\, and environmental challenges connected to the Great Lakes. This talk invites others to see Toledo not just as the Glass City\, but as a true Great Lakes city\, and to consider how each of us can play a role in supporting its future.
