LADIES’ NIGHT FUNDRAISER to benefit kids fighting rare diseases and local youth leaders with an evening of purse bingo, games, and more. Sylvania, November 14th Gather your friends and get your tickets today for LADIES’ NIGHT 2024! hosted by The Avalon Foundation. We are excited to bring back this popular event at Sylvania Country Club at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, November 14. This year, the incomparable Kevin Mullan will be the Emcee, with returning board members Douglas Hoblet and Todd Whited announcing Bingo. Surprise purse models included too! The night of exciting games, full of designer bags/wine/jewelry/and other exciting prizes, supports “Kids Caring for Kids”- a local youth leadership program that offers support to pediatric patients fighting rare disease. “As a nonprofit organization that still relies mostly on volunteers, we are complimented by the repeated requests for this event to return. From our volunteer planning team who is committed to excellence to our event sponsors and donors that give so generously, we really have the BEST supporters,” says President, Deb Ayres. “I have been volunteering on the event committee for a few years; so when Deb was looking for an event chairperson to plan it again, it was an easy yes for me,” Alison Miller shares. “The energy in the room is palpable. The excitement sweeps you up! Put two hundred women in a room together with purses, jewelry, cocktails, wine and a cause & it is inspiring.” • Tickets are selling individually ($65) or by tables of ten ($650)- which includes 1 bingo car per regular round +3 raffle tickets + dinner buffet and non-alcoholic drinks/person. • Sponsorship opportunities are still available. • Lightly-loved designer purses are also being collected for the event. • Some featured brands are Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Coach, Dooney & Buerke, Burberry, and Louis Vuitton. The Avalon Foundation established itself in Toledo in 2017 by a group of kids under twelve who wanted to support the vision of their friend Avalon who suffered with a rare bone disease. Their Youth Leadership Program is available to local kids, focusing on leadership, compassion, contribution, and commitment. The efforts of this group directly and positively impact pediatric patients fighting rare disease through their peer support program. This psycho-emotional support helps young patients stay compliant with life-saving treatment that is often very painful. To learn more, visit KidsCaringForKids.org.
