Seasonal Groundskeeper
Position Duration: August through approximately November
Toledo Memorial Park – Sylvania, OH
 
Join our dedicated team at Toledo Memorial Park as a Seasonal Groundskeeper and play a vital role in maintaining the beauty, serenity, and dignity of our cemetery grounds. This onsite position offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a meaningful setting where your efforts ensure a respectful and tranquil atmosphere for all who visit.
Key Responsibilities:

• Mow, trim, and maintain cemetery grounds (including around headstones).
• Perform weeding, landscaping, and general upkeep.
• Operate mowing, trimming, and hand/power tools safely (training provided).
• Assist with setup for services and burials.
• Follow safety procedures and instructions.
• Interact respectfully with visitors, families, and staff.

• Willingness to learn equipment operation and groundskeeping practices.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

• Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Comfortable working in a cemetery setting
• Frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must regularly lift and/or move 50+ pounds.
