Seasonal Experienced Mower
 
Job Summary:
Toledo Memorial Park is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Mower to support the maintenance of our historic and beautifully landscaped grounds. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial mowing equipment and a strong work ethic suited for outdoor labor in varied weather conditions.
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operate commercial-grade riding lawn mowers and other landscaping equipment.
Perform general mowing duties to maintain cemetery grounds.
Conduct routine safety checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including high temperatures.
Follow directions from supervisors and maintain a respectful, professional demeanor.
Ensure grounds are kept clean, neat, and dignified for visitors.
 
Required Skills/Abilities:
Good verbal communication skills.
Basic understanding of groundskeeping and landscaping practices and procedures.
Ability to work efficiently and thoroughly.
Ability to follow directions.
 
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Prior knowledge and experience with commercial grade riding lawn mowers
 
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing, sitting, walking, stretching, bending, climbing, kneeling, and pulling
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Must be physically able to operate power equipment.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Must be available to work Monday to Friday 8:00 – 4:30 to meet business needs.
Pay and Employment Terms
Pay: From $16 per hour
Duration: Seasonal, typically through October (may end earlier or be extended based on weather and park needs)
