Seasonal Service Technician

As a Seasonal Service Technician, no day is the same. This position is all about caring for bikes so their owners love riding them. You’ll troubleshoot repairs and service all kinds of bikes. Most importantly, you’ll build relationships with people who trust you to keep their gear running flawlessly. If you’ve already worked as a mechanic, that’s great. But if not, we’ll train you.
 
Qualifications
  • Impressive attention to detail and a love for tinkering and problem solving.
  • Motivation to build skills as a technician.
  • Eagerness to learn the ins and outs of servicing bicycles.
  • A desire to continually learn proper service methods and new technologies.
  • Exhibit customer-centric and team-oriented mentality.
  • Maintain extraordinary hospitality - a warm, approachable manner, and a drive to help in any way you can - even on the busiest days.
 
Responsibilities
  • Greet and engage customers.
  • Listen to their needs and assess bicycle for service needs.
  • Make thoughtful recommendations to each customer.
  • Perform flat changes, minor mechanical adjustments and build new bicycles.
  • Participate in CycleWerks sponsored rides and events and build meaningful relationships with riders in the community.
  • Proactively restock and tidy the service area.
  • Listen and communicate effectively with customers and teammates, via phone and in person.
