Sara Smith
Sara Smith is the Director of Institutional Advancement at the National Museum of the Great Lakes. She is responsible for guiding fundraising initiatives, overseeing communications, marketing, & volunteerism, and supporting partnerships. Sara has a B.S. from Cornell University and a M.A. degree from Yale University, and prior to her role at the National Museum of the Great Lakes served as the Director of Development & Major Gifts at United Way of Greater Toledo. Sara also is highly involved in the community as a current member of the Live Arts Toledo Board of Trustees, an alumni of the Leadership Toledo Signature Program, Association of Midwest Museums, WISTA, and past programming chair for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Northwest Ohio chapter. Originally from upstate New York, Sara currently resides in Sylvania Township with her fiance and two teen-aged children.
